Disciplined savers have less anxiety, study finds

Individuals who work with financial advisors and report they have disciplined financial habits said they sleep better and are generally happier, a recent study found. Most adults (54%) report feeling “somewhat or very anxious” about their finances. The number of adults reporting financial anxiety drops to 46% for those working with financial advisors and 47% for individuals who identify themselves as disciplined planners. That number drops to 46% for people who work with financial advisors and 47% for those who self-identify as disciplined planners. Among generations, Gen X reported the most trouble with sleep, and millennials and Gen Zers cited similar levels of anxiety about finances.
