As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, about one quarter of investors surveyed recently said they hired a financial advisor for the first time. More than 52% of respondents said the pandemic helped them realize that they needed help with their finances. Advisors may want to consider digital marketing, the report found. While most advisors have a website and email, many may not be as engaged with enhancing their online profile or marketing, the report noted. The researchers noted a study that showed top quartile advisors who adopted technology grew business revenue and added new clients at faster rate than the average advisor.
