IRA rollovers set record pace: Study

IRA rollovers reached a record pace in 2020, according to a recent study. Rollovers from 401(k) plans rose 10% last year compared with 2019. The growth is largely due to job transitions during the pandemic, the study found. Assets in rollovers rose to $623 billion in 2020, up from $565 billion in 2019. The study further noted that rollovers are expected to increase more in the next five years.
