Many workers do not have workplace savings

Nearly half of workers do not have a workplace savings plan, according to a new study. The report found about 57 million people, representing 48% of the private sector workforce, do not have access to a pension or retirement plan at work. The study also found that Hispanic, Black, and Asian workers accounted for 46% or 26 million of total uncovered workers. Small businesses were less likely to have a plan. About 78% of workers at companies with 10 employees or less and 65% of workers at firms with 10 to 24 employees did not have access to workplace savings.
